The Basement is a really lovely place to hang out, have some coffee, eat some yummy food and shop for unique things. You can also get a killer haircut at the barber shop (seriously the guys who leave the barber shop look like they should be in photo shoots), and get nails and lashes done here. There's so much room for gatherings (which we've done a few times). As a current tenant, I have to say the building owner and management is the best. And I say that having had a career in commercial leasing and management. I love our building and am so thrilled we have a place here. If you haven't been, you should check it out. Keeping in mind the Basement is closed on Mondays.
Great group of shops to visit. Stop in and see what they have so many things to choose from.
The Basement has such a cool vibe and a great spot with a little bit of everything. The Speakeasy, Food and Deli spots, shops for shopping, Boxing/Cycling Classes and also the Nail and Barber Lounge/Shop. The people are great all around, …
There's a brand new shop in The Basement this month (Mar 2022), called Mo Jo & Zoe. If you've shopped in Truckee, it may seem familiar to you. Very cute clothes, jewelry & gifts! Adding some photos for you to check out. The store isn't quite complete yet, but they are open for business!

We discovered The Basement when attending the Grand Opening of Studio 14 - our daughter Lauren AKA L'amour Fou Photography and Colin Nicolai Photography. What a cool location- lots of shops, food , bar , live music - all in The Basement of the old Post Office right on the river in downtown Reno! Beautiful!
Overall, from the street it appears to be just another brick building, but as you enter through the rustic and alluring bronze door and descend into "The Basement", the visual appeal quickly transforms into a Hipster Getaway with a Batman …
The Basement is a great local venue for community, food, neat local shops. I visited The Stem and Global Coffee. They have quite a number of locally owned shops for food, clothing, a neat barbershop, and more. They have a stage and conference table. They are promoting local arts and talent. Do stop by for a wonderful experience.
Cool place to work / study, there are a couple of outlets on the pillars and under some of the tables. Coffee and tea is just a quick step away at Vida Coffee and sandwiches and subs at Earthly Subs. Wifi is decent and parking is limited
